Live Baby Live Now That The Day Is Over it's time for Man Crush Monday

Today is Commonwealth day in the 53 member countries of the Commonwealth and it's also Monday so that means one thing....Man Crush Monday. And in honour of Commonwealth day my man crush is an Antipodean. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you one of the three Hemsworth brothers......

So any ideas as to which one of these fine Australian specimens it might be? They are all incredibly blessed with excellent genes and all of them are actors as well. This picture may not be the best one of all three of them to have a decent clue... this next one may assist for anyone that knows me and what I like in a man!

So as you may or may not know I like a man with a beard, or at least the ability to grow one, and in this photo there is a very fine fellow sporting a well groomed beard. So congratulations Liam Hemsworth you are my Man Crush Monday.

He first came into the worlds consciousness after hooking up with Miley Cyrus on the set of The Last Song as before that he had mainly done things in his native Australia, such as Neighbours which is probably mandatory for an Australian actor to be in! Since The Last Song he has won hearts with his portrayal of Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games Series (which sadly comes to an end this year). According to his Wikipedia page (because it's always such a reliable source!!) he's got two other films slated to come out this year: The Dressmaker, alongside Kate Winslet and By Way of Helena which will see him star alongside Woody Harrelson once more. Lets not forget that it was also recently announced that he would be staring in Independence Day 2 alongside Jeff Goldbum who will be reprising his role of David Levinson from the first film in 1996 and Independence Day 2 is scheduled to come out in 2016 (HOLY CRAP that's 20 years from the first film...this makes me feel old!!) Did you know that he was also shortlisted to play Thor but he lost out to his brother and he was originally meant to be in the first Expendables film (which I love) but because of auditioning for Thor his part got written out but he was able to be in the second Expendables film, although he's in it far too briefly for my liking!

Anyway enough rambling chit chat, have some more pictures of the 6'3", 25 year old from Melbourne Victoria to admire. Let me know what your thoughts are on him.

It's Just A Little Crush

So first of all does anybody but me remember this song by Jennifer Page? It was released in 1998 so I would have been 12 when it came out!

Anyway the purpose of this post was not to reminisce on 1990's pop music, which is probably just as well as there was some AWFUL songs! This post is part of my new Man Crush Monday series. I will warn people now that I have a random taste in men but I don't think that anyone should be judged about who they find attractive as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What floats one persons boat may not float another's and that is the joy of human nature as if we all found the same things attractive then the world would be a very boring place seemingly full of clones.

In honour of the Oscars last night/this morning I thought that this weeks MCM would be a two times Best Actor Oscar nominee............Ladies and Gentlemen I give you........................... Bradley Cooper

Picture from moviepilot.com
Hasn't he got the most amazing eyes? As well as having beautiful eyes he's also an incredible actor, I personally love him in Limitless, Silver Linings Playbook, The A Team (it's not the best film ever though) and as I am a massive geek..... Guardians of the Galaxy (voice acting counts okay?!) And lets not forget the Hangover Trilogy. He's also been kicking up a storm on Broadway with his portrayal of Joseph Merrick in The Elephant Man. It will be transferring to the West End with Mr Cooper continuing on in the role with previews on 19th May and the run ending on 8th August at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

He was nominated, for the second time, in the Best Actor category at this years Academy Awards but lost out, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Keaton & Steve Carell, to the wonderful Eddie Redmayne. He was last nominated at the Oscars for Best Actor in 2012 for Silver Linings Playbook and he was also nominated in 2013 for Best Supporting Actor for his role in American Hustle both of which he stars in alongside Jennifer Lawrence. He has another film with Jennifer Lawrence, Joy, which is scheduled to come out this year so maybe another nomination may be in the pipeline?

Anyway I shall sign off now and leave you with some of the wisdom of Phil Wenneck (Bradley's character from The Hangover Trilogy)-

Would you please put some pants on? I feel weird having to ask you twice.

This time I'll be bulletproof

So I pretty much have started every blog post with something along the lines of 'I'm sorry' because I quite frankly merde at this (please excuse my French!). Apathy is truly one of my biggest sins as my weekday evenings and weekends are full of slobbing about and watching Netflix and Amazon Instant.....They suck me in to their inescapable vortex and my village eventually entered the 21st century and got fibre optic broadband at the end of 2014 so I have a lot of making up to do.

Anyways I am an divorced woman! Woooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! And if you couldn't tell I am actually happy about it. I've been divorced officially since September 2014 and single since October 2013. Singledom has enabled me to reconnect with myself (that isn't meant to sound as dirty as it does!) and regain my innate Claire-ness that I had lost somewhere along the way years back.
10 years ago I went to art college and started a writing for scripted media course because of my love for script writing... I dropped out 4 months later because the college and course wasn't for me, but that's by the by. I flirted with script writing on and off in the following years until 2008 when I stopped writing and getting ideas for plots completely...... Until now!! I think the feeling of freeness and getting my groove back has reignited my love for the creative and entertainment industries.... that and the fact that it's award season and I would really love a BAFTA. Speaking of which the ceremony this year was filled with hotties... Tom Hiddleston, Henry Cavill & Chris Evans was too much handsomeness for one evening.

I'm not going to make any promises that I will update this blog regularly as every time I say I will I don't but for anyone that ever wants to know what I'm up to then just follow me on Instagram & Twitter and check out my Pinterest to see what floats my boat and inspires me.
